if you read kai fu lee's book something strange happened -as ai director at google he was sent over from silicon valley to start google china- when google closed china ka-fu lee stayed on - engineering policy makers asked for his advice- he said build an ai entrepreneur avenue at the gateway of every major university and demonstrated how to do alongside beijings top uni entrepreneur town- so it was that china and parts of asis replicating this ideas have hundreds of ai unicorns while the big data needed to ai in usa seems to be owned by google facebook apple microsoft amazon  -while this is an over simplication just as the un exploration of the peoples money has needed asiaforgood inputs so may ai do in resilient community apps eg health education as well as the peoples ,oney
